So, as the Tour de France departs back to its homeland we can finally take a breath and try to take in the fantastic weekend that saw Harrogate stage the first finish and Blamey’s Florist of Harrogate asked to make the winners bouquets! We were so very proud and honoured that we had been chosen for something so special!

So with bouquets made, we set of to the finish area and presented bouquets to the tour organisers. Ruth was so excited to be invited onto the podium top step with the winners yellow bouquet to have her photo taken. She's still smiling now!

Just such a shame our local boy Mark Cavendish crashed outside Betty's on Parliament Street in full view of his mum and Royalty (Wills, Kate and Harry). David Cameron's face was a picture. Day 2 saw Knaresborough, voted best dressed for all its t-shirts painted by local school kids looking amazing, as did Starbeck, Ripley and Ripon. All areas we cover on a daily basis for flower delivery.

So onwards to Monday and the madness starts again for The Great Yorkshire Show, with us again doing displays for African Pride and this year Carter Jonas Llp , look out for our flower displays and planters if you attend the show. If you see them please post pictures, they are always great to see.

Let's hope the weather stays as great for the Great Yorkshire Show as it did for the Tour de France. 130,000 people expected to visit again this year, but if you get chance check us out on Oatlands Shopping Parade (Leeds rd.) or on Beulah street for a fantastic selection of plants and flowers to take home with you.

See if you can spot our Woolley jumper ! Take a photo of him post to our Facebook page and you could win a replica winners bouquet - as seen on by millions on ITV.
